thanks so much everyone. i love this beautiful old building; recently restored. it was designed by calvin vaux in 1870 in a "victorian gothic" style and meant as a respite from the summer heat where kids and their parents could relax and have a cold glass of milk. the filtered light in the open loggia is so compelling, ijust had to try to capture it.
T~ i really like this heavenly filtered light from above as well as the soft silhouettes of the cityscape in the distance~ top work (again!) : D
ReplyDeleteWow - this is powerful. What a tricky subject to paint too. Congrats. x
ReplyDeleteExquisite, Tom!
ReplyDeleteThe light rays that filter through the ceiling are superb. Another masterpiece, Tom.
