thanks my friends so much! irina: i just try really really hard to make it "look" easy:) and yes janet....boomer is exhausted after this one. and selina....sadly perhaps, the answer is 'no'...-)
You can't imagine how I admire this capacity of yours of playing with light rays in the shadow. The mist over the lake and the colorful surface of the water are amazing. Bravo again, Tom.
thank you all so much - i really appreciate your comments. this was a very tricky one - i was trying for an atmosphere of soft, diffuse, refracted light as seen right after a rain shower; while still hoping for an image that was not weak or lacking in focus
Good one, Tom! I especially like the lavender-ish shadows, great idea. I'd probably be too chicken to do something like that! Nice and atmospheric, I love it!
thanks so much jane and frank - very kind of you. a lot of the colors in this one - the lavenders, pale yellow, light blue - were holbein, chalky tones; a bit more opaque, and just dropped into the wet transparent wash, to help emphasize the misty look i was hoping to get. cheers - tom
do you ever get tired of hearing how great your paintings are? 0(^_^)0 <3
